It's D-day

I am just hours away from D-day. Well two of them. First I am "working" all alone at Sam's tomorrow. It will be just me, Savie and at least 3 other kids. I will also be there Mon and Tues by myself. I think I will be ok, I have been there for going on 3 weeks now and feel comfortable being there and taking care of the kids. I am mentally making myself ok with this. Wish me luck.

The second thing, and not even scary to me, is having my hand taken care of. I have finally decided that I will just have it taken out. I'm trying to plan my weekend (Farmer's Market, dinner, etc) but it's hard since I don't know what to expect. You know how long before I can use my hand, how much is it going to hurt, stuff like that. But I think it will be ok. I need to go to bed and be ready for Friday for the kids!!!!

Suppernanny.... and other things

OMGoodness, that little girl stayed at the table until she fell asleep. I'm sorry but that's funny to me. That is something out of "Mommy Dearest", and 6 yr old that don't know how to wipe themselves?!?!? That is just ridiculous.

OK let me back up a little here. I love to watch Suppernanny, not because I think I really need but more for the whole 'seeing a car pulled over on the side of the road, Oh look honey I think they had a car accident-I wonder if anyone is hurt' as you drive on by kinda thing. I am not at all a perfect mother (see this post, this post oh just click on bad mommy, lol. ) but watching other parents with out of control kids doing things that just make me say "duh" is kinda a sick, funny thing for me. But I think I offended my friend J when I said something along of the lines of "well what do the parents expect from their kids when they are up jumping around and being crazy 10 minutes before it's bedtime." She got kinda quiet after I said that.

But the family tonight was going thru something that I don't know how to deal with yet but will need to soon. I only have one grandparent left so when she passes I will be heartbroken but I will have to find some way to deal and help Savie deal. It was a good episode with a lot of heartfelt moments.

Clothing Exchange

Tonight was a clothing exchange. I love when we can do this do and for once it was my idea!!! Yeah!!!! I just wish I was a smaller size like most of these lovely ladies. But it was still so much fun. We got there about half an hour after it started but that's ok since there were lots more coming after me. I brought my own special cheesecake for dessert ( go to this site and you can customize your own cheesecake, it's so much fun) and other people brought crackers and salad, plenty of other things for the kids to eat and drink.

It was so much fun. Clothes flying everywhere, kids running around, voices' everywhere. I just don't know what to say about it. I went with one big bag of clothes and came home with 2 large loads and 2 small bags, but don't fear they are going to the local Goodwill. I need to get off my feet and go relax, have a good night ladies.

Sorry for the long

delay from my last post but I've been so tired the last couple of nights that it's just crazy.

I got our pictures back yesterday (family you will get yours soon) and they are sooooooooo cute. Yes I am bragging about my daughter but she is just to cute for words. I wish I had a scanner so I could scan them to my computer and show them off some more but no such luck there. (I have figured out though that I need to take my computer in to get it cleaned so i can find out why I can't download my pictures from my camera. )


Some of the moms "trade" kids, like one mom will take another moms kids for the day so she can work or go to the Dr. whatever the case may be and then they will trade later. I love that fact. i had never asked anther mom to watch Savie until i had to go in my interview.

Also last week w went to the San Pedro River for a hike. It was so nice. The kids walked to the river and played for awhile, then when they got cold from the water (can you believe it?) they sat down and ate. I have pictures and a link for some of the other pictures that another mom took but I can't do it right now, my mind doesn't want to work right now.

What a week!!!!!

This has been such a crazy up and down week. I said I was going to buy myself a bicycle and start riding again but with Savie I need to get a trailer so that's what I did. I wasn't going to it for Christmas because it would just sit in the garage until it got warm so I waited for spring to buy one. I got a good one and tried to hooked up the trailer that I bought from Walmart.com (Yeah I know shameless plug) but wasn't having any luck but hubby came home early and did it for me. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that I could pull her in the trailer but it was so hard to do. I was sore on just the two blocks that we went. That was on Tues. and then I tried again the next day to ride down tot he post office and back and that really hurt me but of course Savie was having fun. She loved sitting in there and being pulled. I figure it will take me a couple of months to work up to go really far with the trailer.
Wednesday we didn't do anything and then Thurs we went to story hour and then our SnB. It was fun. Since it's been so warm lately that we spent most of the early evening and night outside, we start at 5pm which is fine since the kids were having so much fun. I haven't been riding since Wed because my butt hurts so bad from the seat but I'm going to buy another one and see if that helps.
Today we went to the park but it was hot, I mean it was already 90 by 10 am this morning. I think we are gong to move back to the other park since it has more shade. See what I mean about it being a great week. We've had nice weather, great days, and very little temper tantrums. lol.

Gym & the Park

Today was Kiddie Gym and then going to the park afterwards. Savie has hit the point where when we get somewhere, even though we've been there before, she gets shy and wants to leave. She did the same thing this morning when we went to the gym even though her 'boyfriend' PJ was there. So I spent the first 5 minutes trying to get her to stay in the room and the rest of the time trying to get her away from PJ, lol. They are so funny together.

After the gym we went to Saginaw Park. I love this park. It's enclosed with only one gate so I don't have to worry about her running out of the park. A lot of the other moms that didn't come to the gym were at the park, it's a regular playgroup thing. Here's a couple of pictures.

Well I finished her robe, mostly, tonight and tried it on her. I still have to figure out how to do the hood for this thing but she seems to like it already.
