What a week

I usually have a great photo to post today, Sky Watch Friday, but the last couple of days have just been weird and busy for me. I try to keep my camera in the car but it hasn't been there for the past 3 days. I can barely think straight to write this now. I am just so out to lunch right now that I can barely do this. I have so many thoughts running around in my head but I can't seem to make any sense out of them.

I think I have mentioned before that I have a bit of a javelina problem. (read here and here also) Well Tuesday night they were here but hubby was up and went out and scared them away so that was an easy night. Wednesday they were only here once and that was before I went to bed so that was an easy night as well, but Thursday they were here at least four different times. The last time I got up, because Halley was growling, was about 5:15am. I get up around 6am so that was just crapping. I think that is just so hard to get used to. I need sleep and I have a lot of things I need to tonight and tomorrow. Oh well, things will get done soon.

Bad Mommy #4

Ok, so if you read this post you know how I was feeling yesterday. It was not a great day. Thought that since I have been getting Savie up early all week to go to Sam's that I would let her sleep in since we didn't need to get out of the house until 10am. Maybe that was wrong. I slept in until almost 6:30 and she slept in until 7am. I even made a simple breakfast for us and let her play around until almost 8:30 before I said we needed to get dressed.
Today was a park day so I loaded up the toy box and cooler and headed for the park. She seemed to be fine and was talking up a storm in the backseat, and even at home before we left, but as soon as we got to the park she had nothing to say. to anyone. Not even her friends PJ and Hank. And that's all she was talking about the whole time at home, was playing with them. We weren't there more than 15 minutes before she had a minor meltdown. Now keep in mind that these are all kids that we see all the time. The only difference is two dads were there, neither of which I had ever met.

So after being at the park for a good hour and everyone is getting hungry and tired we decided we were going to go to the "hot dog place" for lunch. Savie was fine with this until she saw Hank drive off, then she was just a mess, wanting me to hurry up and go after them, then wanting pizza instead of hot dog's. I was ready for her to take a nap at that point but I was hungry to.

But lunch was good, she ate most of her food, talked with her friends and was happy until it was time to go (of course). But then, since it was still early and warm, I asked her if she wanted to stop and see K before we went home. Of course she did because that meant she could get into the pool and play with the puppies. We got to K's house, emptied the pool and refilled. She played in the water for 20 minutes. Then it was 20 minutes in the bathroom rinsing her off and trying to get her dressed again. It was the longest 20 minutes ever. Even leaving K's house to come home and start dinner was an ordeal. After crying for 5 minutes and watching 1 "Blue's Clues" she fell asleep on the couch. Thank goodness. I let her sleep until almost 5pm just to make sure that she had enough sleep.

Even getting dinner was a chore. I knew what I needed to make, fish and pasta, but it was really hard. Lots more crying and wanting to be picked up. Dinner was over and done with and all she had was half a PB&J and some crackers. I wanted to wash her hair tonight since she was in the pool and so were the dogs but just getting undressed was cause for more tears so I tried to put her to bed. Did it work???

No, she fell asleep on the couch crying at almost 10pm. Bad momma.

A quick update

Well Savie got her meds, finally, and started to take them today then promptly went to Sam's and started picking on other kids. Today was a bad day for us. Usually when we go she has a good time and it's fun. (I think I mentioned before that I am thinking of taking over her place) Anyways, today there was a lot of hitting, pushing, and fighting which is not like her. She had 2 time outs while we were there. Then we came home for lunch and had to skip taking a nap because I knew we were going into town during dinner and I need her to sleep then. It was a bad afternoon. I am tired. She is tired. And I need to make cookies, my house is cold.

I am sooooooooooo

tired.

I have spent the past week driving back and forth from Tucson, which is a 2 hr drive one way. Yes I know it's crazy to do that 4 days in a row but what we paid in gas is still less then what we would have paid for a room for just 2 nights.

Starting on Monday we, or rather I, got up at 4 am. Yes that's right 4am, before the sun is up, before the birds have woken up, before my dog wants to go out. That is just to early for me. I don't get up until 7, maybe 8 am in the morning. But back to the trip. I get up and make coffee, start making snacks for us, and try to do a little stretching. Around 7 I need to get Savie and hubby up, mostly her so I can get her dressed and do her hair, maybe even get her to eat a little before we hit the road. We get on a the road and make it there and drop him off. By the time we head back for home it's almost 6pm so we don't get home until 8pm and poor Halley has been outside the hole time.

Now if you can just picture the saddest face on your kids when they don't get something or can't go with you, that face they get when their best friend has to go home, yeah that look, times 100. That's the face Halley gave us everyday. Poor baby. So now for the next week or so Halley will be sticking very close to me.

Well today was the last day that we have to be gone for so long. We do have to go back at least one more day next week but that's ok. We know where we are going so it won't be that long to get there.

Well I am trying very hard not to fall asleep but I have to give in now. I will be back. With pictures.

It's offical

I have tried to deny it for a long time now, and even after Savie was born I knew that I would have to stop doing this but I can't, I just can't stop myself. I am no a morning person and can not get out of the house before 11am. There I've said (well wrote it, same thing) and now I can move on and do something about it.

Today is Friday and I should be at the park right now but instead I am on the computer, in my pj's and haven't even made anything for breakfast. Savie is eating dry cereal because I didn't feel like putting milk on it (plus she has a bad cough and a runny nose so no more milk than necessary). I guess we really should get up and get dressed but after all the running around we did yesterday I really don't feel up to it. What did we do yesterday you ask that would make me feel so tired today, even after a good nights sleep? Well let me tell you....

Got a wake up call around 7 from another mother calling to see if we wanted to meet at her place or if I wanted her to drop L off at my place. I completely forgot that I promised to watch L for her while she had a Dr. appt. So now I have to jump out of bed and get Savie out and dressed so we can leave the house in 45 min. Did I mention that we don't really do morning's in my house? But we were only 5 minutes late, which isn't really a good thing since the place is only 5 minutes from my house!! LOL.
After playing with L she took us to breakfast to say thank you to me, which wasn't really necessary since I would do it for anyone and I would like to think that they would return the favor but anyways. By now it's 10 and I really want to get on the road for Tucson, it's a 2 hr drive to Tucson and I just want to go. But I'm not going alone, I have to wait for my friend.
Yeah the same one that has all the animals, so I know it will be awhile because she has to feed the lambs, get the hairless set, etc, etc. But I called her when I was getting dressed so she knew where I stood time-wise. Called when we left breakfast and told her that I still needed to come back to the house but I was almost ready to go. I'm not going to get into it but we didn't leave here until 1:30pm!!!!! That's right for all that time, the whole 3 1/2 hrs we were at her house trying to get her ready. It was not what I wanted.

But we finally left, around 1:30pm!!!!!!!!! We should have been in Tucson already not just leaving but that's another matter. Savie fell asleep on the way up there which is a good thing since it's a 2 hr drive and she wasn't going to get nap in. We got there and did the shopping I went there to do and spent way more than I had planned. I didn't think there would have been that much left in the store but there was. I spent close to $100 on books in that store (stupid store closing sale, lol) and then let Savie play in the play area that was in the mall before making the 2 hr drive back.

And just so you know how tired I am today, I started writing this this morning and now it's 10p and I'm finally finishing, lol. Oh well off to bed I go,
